About Kira
Kira came to ARC after her last shelter ran out of space. She’s a striking, young German Shepherd mix with a strong desire to be near people—if she’s close, she’s happy. Kira is still figuring things out and will need a family committed to teaching her the basics and providing the structure she’s clearly missed so far. She’s got a gentle spirit and all the potential to grow into someone’s lifelong companion. Kira needs patience as she learns, but she responds to attention and affection. She gets along with some dogs and older children, but she isn’t comfortable with cats. Her new home should expect to invest time in training, and give her a chance to gain confidence. Kira is looking for someone who values the process of growing together. Ready to give her the chance she deserves? Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
