About Yogurt
Yogurt, with her mesmerizing green eyes and heart-shaped nose, is a young deaf terrier/spaniel mix who came from a tough start as a devoted mom. After raising her pups, Yogurt discovered what it means to relax and simply enjoy being a dog in a caring foster home. She’s got a gentle nature and bonds quickly with people, gravitating toward affection and attention once she feels secure. New situations and unfamiliar dogs can make her a bit cautious, but she’s learning to make dog friends at her pace with patient, respectful introductions. Deafness doesn’t slow Yogurt down; she takes in her world with extra awareness and has already picked up several hand signals. She’s treat-motivated and sharp, happy to learn especially when food is involved (and, a fun quirk—she prefers dining off a plate). Crate-trained and housebroken, Yogurt is also a star on leash, though a fenced yard is required both for her daily routine and her sense of safety. She enjoys the company of other dogs on walks and will play with trusted canine pals once she feels at home. Yogurt would thrive best in a household with children 8 or older who can understand and respect her boundaries, due to her hearing impairment. She’s never met cats, so caution is advised if felines are present. Around 35 pounds, she’s just the right size for snuggling on the sofa and won’t hesitate to curl up close once she knows you. Yogurt is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a stable, loving home where someone will be patient and appreciative of her unique needs. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
