Bandit
AvailableBandit is a male Domestic Short Hair living in Sterling, VA. He’s an adult with a medium build who is neutered, vaccinated, house trained, and enjoys the company of other cats. Bandit has a special medical need—a congenital heart issue that is managed with daily medication. He is looking for a compassionate home that can offer gentle care and companionship.
About Bandit
Bandit has a complicated story but none of it dampens his charm. He is a social introvert—a rare mix of affectionate and gentle without ever demanding the spotlight. Bandit gets along with both people and other cats, and if another cat picks on him, he simply finds a higher perch rather than cause trouble. His favorite pastime is perched above the action, occasionally dropping in on feline neighbors just to say hello, sometimes whether they want company or not. Behind his easygoing personality is a congenital heart condition. He takes daily medicine to prevent clots, but there isn’t a cure and his lifespan may be shorter than most. Still, Bandit lives fully and shows no sign of slowing down just because of his medical reality. The right adopter will understand how to make the most of the time you get together, enjoying each day for what it is. If you have it in you to simply be present with a cat who only asks for company and a good perch, Bandit will give back as much love as you can offer. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
