About Layla

Meet Layla, the smallest of her litter but pure orange tabby confidence in a pint-sized package. Orange tabby girls are rare, so she's a bit of a unicorn—just 20% of orange tabbies are female. Layla can keep up with her larger siblings, wrestling and playing with no fear, and she's sweet-natured through it all. Her litter box skills are solid, even preferring to tackle her mom’s big box over the easy kitten version. There's a minor note about her background: Layla’s mom tested positive for FIV. Direct FIV transmission to kittens is rare, but a test at six months is recommended. Most FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives, especially in stable homes without fighting. Layla should join a household with a young cat or kitten, and it’s ideal to adopt her with a sibling. The rescue has a policy for kittens under four months: Layla must have a companion cat three years or younger, or go as a pair. Adoption includes her future spay and microchip, and she's cleared for common kitten ailments and up-to-date on vaccines. She gets along with cats, dogs, and kids. Give her the loving home she deserves. Start your journey together! Apply now.
