About Phantom
Phantom is a striking 5½-year-old tuxedo cat whose story is one of grit and survival. After years living outdoors with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), he turned up at his foster’s doorstep in rough shape—battered by dental disease and sporting a large, open wound. He’d clearly endured a lot alone. Since getting the medical care he needed, including major dental work, Phantom has transformed into an affectionate and outgoing companion who absolutely loves human company. Despite his FIV+ status, Phantom lives well and enjoys each day to the fullest. He does best either as the only cat soaking up all the attention, or sharing space with other FIV+ cats. Years of being neglected have left him with chronic rhinitis—a lingering inflammation that isn’t contagious and is easily managed by a quick inhaled steroid twice a day (which he handles well). Phantom is deeply appreciative of comfort and stability, and he’s ready for a quieter life indoors where he can be loved and spoiled. He also gets along with both other cats and children, making him a solid fit for a family looking for an affectionate survivor with a gentle temperament. All he needs now is a safe, stable home to call his own. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
