About Oscar
Oscar’s spirit is infectious. Despite a rough start, this black and brown tricolor mix with a boxy snout and big brown eyes has settled into foster care and blossomed. Playful, athletic, and quick-witted, Oscar is always up for a challenge—he enjoys games that test his smarts and will happily chase you around the yard. He greets you with joyful jumps and seems to light up at the prospect of heading back inside after a walk or play session. Around other dogs, Oscar is confident but content as your only canine companion. He doesn’t seem interested in water but doesn’t mind his baths. You’ll find him obedient, crate trained, house trained, quiet, and steady on a leash. At about 5-6 years old and close to 80 lbs, he’s up to date on vaccines, neutered, and has all his preventatives covered. Oscar’s had a tough break—his ears were clipped before rescue—but he’s kept every bit of his sweet personality. Give him a safe place, and he’ll show you just how loyal and affectionate a dog can be. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
