About Gorda

Gorda is a sweet, sensitive girl who’s learning to trust again after a big transition. She may appear shy at first, but a gentle approach, a few treats, and patience go a long way with her. Once Gorda feels safe, she leans into affection, seeks out pets, and settles right in for a nap nearby. Her soft, affectionate side comes out when she’s comfortable—staff watched her relax, accept attention, and even curl up for snoozes when she felt at ease. Gorda spent time with another dog in her previous home, so she’s open to a dog sibling, as long as introductions are calm and unrushed. She knows several commands in Spanish, rides nicely in the car, and is used to being around kids—she was playful and loving with the children she grew up with. As with any dog experiencing change, Gorda does best with routine and kind reassurance as she adapts to new surroundings. Her food motivation and people-pleasing attitude make her both fun and trainable. Gorda is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Once settled, she’ll show her loyal, devoted side and make a deeply rewarding companion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
