Ruthie
AvailableRuthie is a 14-year-old, spayed female Black Labrador Retriever mix with a short black and white coat, currently in Bixby, OK. She’s house trained, vaccinated, and does well with both dogs and cats. As a senior, she likes things mellow and values comfort—her family uses night diapers and a ramp or steps for her ease.
About Ruthie
Ruthie was surrendered after her owner lost her home. She is a gentle, low-key senior with an easy, docile manner, but she makes it clear when she wants a cuddle, a meal, or a little trip outside. Unlike some, Ruthie doesn’t fuss about being left alone—she can be trusted out of the crate as long as food and trash are out of reach. She loves to curl up in bed with her foster family and uses stairs or a ramp to get around, making life easier on her aging joints. At night, she wears a diaper for comfort and everyone’s peace of mind. Despite being 14, Ruthie still surprises with playful bursts, trotting around or joining in with the younger dogs when the mood strikes. She moves at her own speed, happy to simply be near the action. Ruthie gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children, and her affectionate nature stands out wherever she is. Born January 1, Ruthie is a steadfast Capricorn, bringing steady companionship to those around her. Give this golden girl a quiet corner and family energy, and she’ll easily become part of the heart of your home. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
