He lives up to the name perfectly. This handsome boy came from a horrible situation where kindness was not something he got to experience regularly. But once he realized humans could actually be safe and loving, he fully committed to the idea — and now all he wants in life is affection. Not toys. Not treats. Not chaos. Just pets. Mr. Arthur Valentine is one of the most people-focused cats you could ever meet. He wants to be with his humans constantly and happily spends his days sitting next to them while they work, supervise chores, watch TV, or simply exist nearby. He does not care what you are doing as long as he gets to do it with you. And when he decides he needs attention? You will absolutely know. This boy gets LOUD when he wants love, and honestly, it is adorable. He has loved every single person he has met almost instantly and approaches the world with the kind of trust and affection that feels genuinely special considering where he came from. One of his cutest habits is what his foster lovingly calls his “swimmies.” When he is especially happy and purring, he kneads the air with his paws like he is swimming through pure joy. Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment. We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter. For Pets Already in the Home: Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe.
