I'm playful, loving, and incredibly loyal-and right now, I'm just starting to discover how wonderful the world can be. I didn't get much exposure early on, so even though I'm a bit older, I'm still learning all the basics like walks, car rides, and snuggling up in bed I can be a little skittish and nervous at first, but with patience and love, I really start to blossom. Once I feel safe, my playful and affectionate personality shines through. I'm very smart and eager to please, which means I have so much potential-I just need someone willing to guide me. I LOVE to play-seriously, I could play all day! Because of that, I would do best in a home with another dog to be my playmate, or with a very active family who can keep up with my energy. I've been around young kids before and can do well with them. I'm currently working on potty training (doing really well, just not perfect yet), leash training, commands, and learning structure. I came from a backyard environment without much guidance, so I'll need a patient family who can help me continue learning and growing into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. My ideal home would be active, loving, and patient-preferably with another dog and people who understand that I'm still learning. I can do well in an apartment or a home with a yard, as long as I get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention.
