We estimate he will be around 70–80 pounds once fully grown. Russell is wonderfully well socialized and does great with other dogs, kids, and cats. He is the kind of puppy who adapts well to different environments and truly enjoys being around both people and other animals. He is also doing fantastic with his training. Russell walks nicely on a leash, is kennel trained, and is making great progress with potty training. He is eager to learn and loves being praised, making him a joy to work with. When it comes to personality, Russell is all heart. He loves snuggling with his people, gets excited for meal times and treats, and enjoys any toy he can get his paws on. His playful zoomies are guaranteed to make you smile, and he absolutely thrives on being close to his humans. Russell’s journey started in Mississippi, where rescuers found him with a skinned spot and a noticeable knot on the top of his head. While the exact cause is unknown, it is believed that something may have caught the skin and caused it to bunch into the small bump you see today. He was evaluated by our veterinarian, and the good news is that Russell is perfectly healthy. The bump does not impact his quality of life and does not need to be removed. If his future family ever chooses to have it removed, it can easily be done during his neuter procedure. Russell has not let his past slow him down one bit. He is now safe, thriving in foster care, and learning what it means to be loved. He is sweet, strong, and so deserving of a beautiful future.
