I'm Homeroom, and I believe every day should begin with a quiet check-in from a safe little spot. My current classroom may be a cubby, a blanket, or the place where I can see everything without being immediately perceived. The humans are still filling in my attendance sheet, but I keep showing up in tiny ways, which is technically excellent participation. I am not late. I am taking roll. Who entered? Who spoke too loudly? Who brought snacks? Which corner has the best emotional lighting? My personality is still unpacking its backpack, but I already take the first bell very seriously.
