Meet COOKIE this SATURDAY, MAY 9 from 12-3PM at the NEBRASKA FURNITURE MART DOG & PUPPY ADOPTION EVENT! We’ll be joining other rescue groups for a HUGE adoption event. NFM is located in The Legends at 1601 Village West Pkwy, KCK 66111. WEEKEND SHELTER HOURS FOR ADOPTIONS: SATURDAY, MAY 9: CLOSED (Visit our pet adoption event!) SUNDAY, MAY 10: OPEN 10AM - 3PM, NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED! KCK Animal Services is located at 3301 Park Drive, KCK. ——————— COOKIE is just as sweet as her name implies! This 2 year old Bulldog mix is a gentle, loving soul. She likes to be close and cuddle. The poor girl looks like she's just been used for breeding. Cookie is timid and can be scared of new things, including walking on a leash. She puts on the brakes and flattens, so she'll need work to build up her confidence for leash walks and other new life experiences for her. She will be such a wonderful, loving companion for the family who takes the time to help socialize her. Cookie is good with other dogs. She has short legs and she weighs 46 lbs. Sadly, Cookie tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we’d love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, Cookie will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions! ADOPTING A DOG Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older). If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match. We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
