When she was found as a stray, she was severely matted, neglected, and clearly had not known much kindness or stability in her young life. Because of that, she can be very fearful with new people and unfamiliar situations. She needs patience, understanding, and someone willing to let her move at her own pace. But once she feels safe, her true personality begins to shine — and she is an absolute doll. Loving, and deeply loyal, she forms strong bonds with the people she learns to trust. At 18 pounds, she’s the perfect little companion for a calm home. She would do best in a quiet adult-only household with someone who understands shy or undersocialized dogs. Experience with fearful dogs is a huge plus, but most importantly, she needs a person willing to give her grace, consistency, and all the time she needs to finally feel safe and loved. This girl has already survived so much. Now she’s just waiting for someone to show her what a happy ending looks like.
