🚨 FOSTER NEEDED IMMEDIATELY. 🚨 Archer was code red in a full shelter, and they reached out to Helpless Hounds to help. We couldn't let him die, so we got him out today 5/7/26 but he is desperate for a foster and a place to rest while we begin his Heartworm treatment. Name: Archer Sex: Male (intact) Age: ~2 years Weight: ~70 lbs Breed: Coonhound Intake type: Shelter/Rescue transfer Vetting: Heartworm positive and ehrlichia positive. All vetting will be completed by the rescue. Social: Dogs - no aggression observed, Cats - unknown, Kids - unknown Notes: Picked up as a stray and described as very sweet and friendly with people. Training and housebreaking unknown. No behavioral concerns noted aside from typical hound vocalizing. He is very stressed in the kennel and expresses it loudly- this is a hound who is overwhelmed and needed out of a full shelter. ------ We are supposed to be on an intake hold but Archer should not have to die due to of lack of space.
