Junie Female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel 7 years and 24 lbs Junie is a retired mama currently transitioning from life in a breeding kennel to life in a home. She is an easy-going, affectionate companion who is quickly discovering the comforts of domestic life-specifically the couch. True to her breed, Junie is a "velcro" dog. She follows her foster family from room to room and prefers to be in physical contact with her people whenever possible. She is sweet, seeks out affection, and has a gentle, low-energy presence. Junie is dog-friendly and gets along well with her foster sister. She inquisitively met the resident cat with zero issues. She sleeps through the night in her kennel and keeps her space clean. Junie is currently learning how to navigate stairs and is making progress with potty training. She shows an understanding of the concept but requires a patient adopter to help her solidify these new routines. Everything in a home environment is relatively new to her, and she is still learning how to be a member of a family. Junie will require a dental cleaning/procedure, which is common for dogs coming from her background. Junie needs a patient family that understands the transition period required for a retired breeding dog. Helping her navigate her new world takes a little time and consistency, but the effort is rewarded with endless sweetness and snuggles from Junie!
