About Pear

Pear has striking light green eyes and a silky long black coat. She was found as a stray in Southeast DC and is now settling into foster care. Spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines, Pear is healthy and healing well from a few minor head scratches she arrived with. Pear is social and loves affection—cuddling and playtime are her favorite ways to spend time with people. She’s a bit shy during initial meetings but quickly warms up into a true cuddle bug. Living with an elementary-age child, Pear does wonderfully with kids. She hasn’t been introduced to other pets yet. With slow introductions and patience, she should adapt well to a home with other animals. Pear would be happiest with someone who’s home regularly and can give her the company she craves.
