He is a dramatically beautiful cat — rich, dark brown fur with bold black striping, a full and luscious coat, and a pair of striking yellow-green eyes that seem to take in everything around him. His name suits him perfectly. Onyx carries himself with quiet intensity. He has the look of a cat who observes before he decides, and who, once he decides, is completely certain. He came in as a stray, so there is much about his story we do not know — but what we do know is that he is here now, and that he deserves a warm and loving place to land. There is something deeply rewarding about earning the trust of a cat like Onyx. When a watchful, self-possessed cat chooses to settle in beside you, to seek you out, to let his guard down — it means something. It is not given freely, which makes it all the more meaningful when it comes. Onyx is FIV/FeLV negative, up to date on his vaccines, and will be neutered prior to adoption.
