About Axel

Axel is 2 years old, about 54 lbs, and happy to hop in the car for any road trip. He’s outgoing, people-oriented, and gets along well with other dogs. Axel’s favorite game is tug of war, though he’s also a champion fetch player. A family has cared for him since they found him abandoned last fall, looking everywhere for someone to help him land a permanent home. He’s waiting in Texas but can travel to Idaho with Freedom Bound Hounds if someone steps forward. Right now, Axel is going through heartworm treatment—covered entirely by the rescue—either in Texas or Idaho, depending on where he lands. At his age, recovery is straightforward and he’ll bounce back quickly. Adoption includes neuter, microchip, transport, and treatment. Ready to welcome this good-natured boy? Your move.
