Sunshine was one of the few who allowed herself to be helped—and that alone says so much about her heart. Despite everything she’s endured—including having puppies in that environment who didn’t survive—Sunshine remains gentle, curious, and full of quiet hope. She truly wants to trust. There isn’t a mean bone in her body. She does well with other animals and would benefit from a patient, understanding home that will let her continue to come out of her shell at her own pace. Every small step forward with Sunshine is meaningful, and watching her learn what love and safety feel like is incredibly rewarding. Sunshine didn’t get the life she deserved at the start—but her future can be different.
