Meet Rylo – 6-Year-Old American Pit Bull Terrier Rylo is a sweet, gentle 6-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier who’s ready for his forever home. Despite being hit by a car in his past, he’s remained calm, loving, and incredibly resilient. He knows basic commands, is eager to please, and is fully house-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on his care. Rylo is the perfect mix of cuddle buddy and walking partner— happy to snuggle on the couch but always up for a stroll. He’s worked hard to go from “Big Boy” to an absolute love bug. Progress: Rylo has made wonderful strides in his foster home. He now does well with slow introductions to non-dominant female dogs his size and has grown especially comfortable with the resident female—he enjoys being near her most afternoons and evenings. He can sleep in the same room, share a dog bed or human bed, and participate in parallel walks and light playtime. When minor dominance scuffles arise, Rylo backs down quickly and avoids escalating, which is a huge and positive development for him. He’ll continue practicing outings to quieter public places to build confidence meeting new people and navigating new environments. Rylo’s Usual Day: Morning stretches and breakfast, a calm day as your sidekick (or patient home companion), then an evening walk, dinner, and premium couch cuddles.
