Here’s what his foster volunteers say about him: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Bruce is easygoing, affectionate, and a little bit shy! Does the cat enjoy being pet? If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? Yes; he doesn’t like being pet for a long period of time, but he likes limited head/back scratches, as well as tummy rubs sometimes! Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? Not in particular, he just doesn’t like being pet for too long. Does the cat come on your lap? He’ll jump onto your lap when he’s hungry and looking for food! He doesn’t stay long, though. Does the cat like to be held? No, but he will tolerate it. Does the cat sleep in your bed? Yes Does the cat seek your attention? Yes Does the cat like to play? What are the cat's favorite games and toys? Yes, for short periods of time. He really likes his feather wand toy. How vocal is the cat? What kinds of sounds does the cat make? Somewhat vocal. He purrs often and has the cutest little meow! Does the cat scratch a scratcher? If no, please explain. Sometimes, although he seems to prefer rugs/carpet. Does the cat always use the litter box? If no, please explain. Yes What food and frequency is the cat currently eating? Purina One dry & wet food. He eats 1/3C dry and 1/4can (5oz can) wet twice a day. He often asks for food, so if I’m going to be home midday I’ll give him his first serving of wet food then instead of in the morning. Is the cat picky about food? We’ve only ever tried Purina food with him, so unsure. He seems to prefer dry food. What is the cat's favorite treat? He doesn’t seem to be too picky about treats! We usually give him the tuna-flavored treats he arrived with. Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? It’s less swatting and more polite (and very cute) tapping―he will tap your arm and meow when he’s asking for food! Has the cat ever scratched (claws out) you? No Does the cat ever nip (teeth without breaking skin) you? No Has the cat ever bitten you (breaking skin)? No To the best of your knowledge, how does the cat react to new people? Social? Fearful? It takes Bruce a bit of time to feel comfortable around new people. He’ll hide at first, but he becomes more social later on! If you have observed the cat with other animals, please describe how they get on? Bruce doesn’t do too well with other animals. Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren’t covered by the previous questions? He knows tricks! He can give you “handshakes” and high fives! It’s so cute! In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? Bruce is THE cutest cat. He has such a gentle little meow and is very polite. He’s never been aggressive towards us. What are the cat's challenges and how have you found to best manage them? Bruce is pretty shy. It just takes him a bit to open up, then he’ll be a total sweetheart. He definitely scares easily, so a house without loud noises is the best for him. We’ve made an effort to keep sudden noises to a minimum and he’s settling in great!
