Izzy is a black and white Domestic Short Hair living in Waynesboro, PA. She is a senior cat at 7 years old and has been spayed and vaccinated. Izzy needs to be the only cat in your home and would benefit from some dietary management, given her hefty frame. She’s known for her friendly personality, especially with people and gentle children.

About Izzy

Meet Izzy, a big, lovable cat who arrived at the rescue when her owner passed away and family couldn’t keep her due to cat conflicts. Izzy doesn’t get along with other cats, so she needs to be the only feline in the home, but she’s incredibly social with people. If you’re willing to dish out head rubs, ear scratches, or a good brushing, Izzy is your girl. She warms up to anyone willing to spend time with her and absolutely adores human attention. Izzy tips the scales and could stand to shed a few pounds, so a little help managing her diet will go a long way. She’s not too fond of most toys and only pays attention to catnip for a short while, but she’s a big fan of treats. Gentle, respectful kids do great with her. While she hasn’t been tested with dogs, you’ll get a loving, food-motivated companion who thrives as your one-and-only cat. Izzy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Fun fact: with her April 30 birthday, Izzy is a Taurus—no wonder she loves a cozy nap and snacks. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
