Hi, I’m Gia—a 4-year-old German Shepherd weighing about 55 pounds. I was found as a stray on the streets of Alabama, but despite that rough beginning, I’m an incredibly sweet and loving girl. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, especially around loud noises or unfamiliar situations, but once I realize I’m safe, my affectionate side comes out quickly. I love giving kisses, being loved on, and staying close to my people. My absolute favorite thing in the world is playing with other dogs. I do amazing with them and really come alive when I have canine friends to run and play with. Outside of playtime, though, I’m actually not overly high energy. I have a nice balance where I’m happy to relax and enjoy your company, but if another dog wants to play, I’m instantly ready for fun. I’ve also done great around kids and have an overall gentle, sweet personality. I can be cat tested upon request. More than anything, I’m looking for a family that will give me love, patience, and a sense of security after being on my own.
