Odie If you are looking for a pup that is attached to you 24/7 -this is your guy. This little boy is about 9 months old and 6 lbs. He's the sweetest cuddle bug ever! Cat and dog friendly, though he prefers small dogs or calmer big dogs. He does have significant separation anxiety and will need a home that is truly prepared to work through it with patience and consistency. This isn't just mild whining—Odie becomes very distressed when he cannot see or reach his person. He will cry, bark, and attempt to follow you, and can escalate quickly if left alone without a plan in place. Because of this, he is not a good fit for a home where he will be left alone for long periods of time. He will do best with someone who is home often (work from home, stay-at-home, or able to bring him along), and who is willing to continue training, desensitization, and confidence-building. He becomes INCREDIBLY bonded to his chosen person, and is set on being by their side 24/7. The good news is that he is eager to please, and very responsive to his people—he just needs guidance to learn that being alone is safe. With the right structure and commitment, he has so much potential to make progress. We are currently working on potty training! He's doing well but will need continued consistency. He can also climb a 4ft fence (only because he insists on being by your side 24/7), so he'll need a secure yard and supervision. Now don't let that scare you — I'm not sharing this to discourage anyone. Odie is an incredibly special, loving boy, and he will thrive in the right home.
