Meet Kaia — an 11-year-old Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix who deserved so much better than what she’s going through right now. Kaia came from a very loving home, but due to a serious medical emergency, her owner was no longer able to care for her. This is through absolutely no fault of her own — just heartbreaking circumstances. Now Kaia is here with us, and she needs help. She is carrying a massive tumor on her abdomen, We plan to have removed. Despite everything, she is incredibly sweet, quiet, and gentle. She isn’t aggressive — she simply prefers to be the only dog right now, which is completely understandable given how she’s feeling. The kennel environment is very scary for her, and we would love to get her into a calm, loving home as soon as possible. We’ve already gotten her nails trimmed (they were severely overgrown), and she is now vaccinated and microchipped — but this is just the beginning Let’s come together and show her that she’s not alone. She deserves soft places to rest, gentle hands, and to feel safe again.
