About Hazel

Hazel is a sweet, cautious girl with a heart of gold who’s ready for a new beginning. She’s about 2 years old and shines with intelligence—she knows sit, stay, and even spin. At first, Hazel may hang back as she settles in, but once comfortable, she truly blossoms. Hazel has a loving, affectionate side; she adores cuddles and belly rubs and wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Her brindle coat glows in the sunlight, making her just as striking as she is gentle. Thanks to consistent training, Hazel walks well on leash and responds reliably to basic commands. She gets along well with other dogs, making her a good fit for a multi-dog household. Hazel came from a home where her previous owner, though devoted, had to surrender her after long absences for work. Since coming to the rescue, she’s gained confidence and proven herself to be a loyal, eager-to-please companion. Patience goes a long way with Hazel—she starts off reserved, but returns love in spades as soon as she feels safe. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
