About Hopper

Hopper came into rescue in December 2025, arriving with a serious head injury that turned out to be a gunshot wound. Thanks to his thick pit bull head, he pulled through after more than a month of wound care; now all that remains is a small scar on the top of his head. Throughout his recovery, he acted like nothing ever happened. During vetting, heartworms were discovered—those have been treated, and Hopper is now neutered and fully vaccinated. Hopper is very much a Velcro dog. He seems to be experiencing love and attention for the first time and wants to be near people constantly. Cuddling next to his humans and sharing the bed at night make him happiest. He's playful and loves fetch or goofing around with toys. Hopper has met cats and other dogs peacefully, though he can be a bit much with his in-your-face affection until he gets the social cues down. There's never been aggression, just a lot of eager friendliness. He’s looking for someone with room in their home—and heart—for a loyal, cuddle-loving companion with an irresistible face.
