AvailableBlitzo is a male pit bull terrier and Labrador retriever mix, young and medium in size, and currently in Chandler, AZ. He is house trained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations.
About Blitzo
Blitzo goes by Blitz or Blitzie too—and he responds to all of them. He’s a quirky, sweet young dog with a husky-like voice that comes out when he’s feeling opinionated, but he’s generally quiet. He’s convinced he’s a lap dog and craves affection. Blitzo loves to play with cat teaser toys, chase after birds (or pretend to), and will happily go to town on tough chew toys. He’ll tug with you, toss his toy in the air, and get a kick out of murderizing a plush now and then. He can play independently when you’re busy. Due to his past in a neglectful household, Blitzo is cautious—especially around men and new people. He’s more comfortable with women and those in the queer community, so a patient adopter who’s willing to nurture his growing confidence is essential. He’s done well with the cats in his home but has a detectable prey drive. He’s played with some dogs, but there’s potential for tension, especially around food, so a home where he’s the only pet (or very slow intros) is preferred. Walks can be a struggle as he may get spooked and want to turn back quickly. He listens well and will flourish with steady leadership and kindness. Ready to fall in love?
