Richard is a sweet, independent guy who knows exactly what he likes in life-a cozy place to lounge, a toy to chase, and a home where he can feel safe and comfortable. He may be a bit nervous when meeting new people, but give him some time and patience, and his gentle, affectionate side will start to shine through. This handsome boy has a playful streak, especially when it comes to toys that move and spark his hunting instincts. In fact, Richard is quite the skilled mouser, making him a natural little hunter at heart! Richard would do best in a home with older kids who understand how to give him space while he settles in. Younger children can make him a bit nervous. He has lived successfully with another cat and even two dogs, so with slow introductions, he could do well in a multi-pet household. If you're looking for a low-key companion who enjoys his independence but still has a sweet side, Richard could be the perfect addition to your home Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to Adopt?
