Missy’s story started in a shelter as a puppy back in 2016. She left with an adopter, but her path brought her back into rescue in 2018, along with two other dogs found chained outside and exposed to pellet guns and other cruelty. The other two made it into new homes quickly. Missy, though, is still waiting. She’s a senior Boxer in Shelby, NC, with a tan and cream coat, and walks with good manners on leash. There’s still plenty of life in her—she’s spunky, playful, and gets along well with dogs of all ages. While she’s social with people and loves time around children, Missy does best as the only dog around cats.
