Hi - I'm Dixie! But my foster mom lovingly calls me "Scruff". I am a 5 year old, 35 pound mixed breed girl, and I've been told that I'm basically the bestest pup ever. Let me tell you a little about myself... I've got the important stuff down! House trained? Check. Good with other dogs? You bet! Cats? I think they're pretty cool - I just make sure to give them their space. People? Oh they are my FAVORITE. I've never met a human I didn't like! My story, as this rescue knows it, started in a barn in West Virginia, where some kind humans found me and my babies. I did my momma duties, raised my pups, and now it's my turn to find a forever home here in Maryland. What am I looking for? Honestly... just lots of love and cuddles. LOTS of cuddles please! I have an endless supply ready for you! I enjoy walks and do well on a leash, but I'm more of a "let's relax together" kind of girl than a marathon runner. I'm learning how to play, and it's pretty fun - but not nearly as fun as snuggling up next to my person. A few fun facts about me: - I really, really love food!
