About Beacon

Beacon’s story started rough—a young tabby found abandoned with her paws taped up and left at a store before landing safely in foster care. That traumatic start didn’t dampen her gentle spirit. She’s quickly shown she’s resilient and is thriving again in a loving foster home. Beacon is playful, sweet, and affectionate, especially around other cats. She’d do best in a home where she has a young kitty friend or two to keep her company. She gets along well with children and other cats, and, though she’s fearless most of the time, cages are the one thing she can’t tolerate. A carrier doesn’t bother her, but being enclosed in a cage makes her anxious, likely because of her past experiences. Beacon is about two years old, healthy, spayed, microchipped, parasite-free, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and fully vaccinated. She’s ready to find a stable, caring home that will let her be herself. Beacon deserves her chance at a better life—one with playmates, gentle hands, and no more cages.
