About Zeke

Zeke is a truly unique cat with a playful, affectionate streak and just the right touch of mischief. Once destined for life outdoors, he was trapped as part of a community cat project in Chicago, but quickly showed an easygoing, people-loving personality that made him perfect for life inside. During his veterinarian checkup, Zeke was found to have pectus excavatum (a chest deformity) and chronic rhinitis. These aren’t slowing him down—Zeke doesn't need ongoing meds, is comfortable, and simply brings a little extra personality with his occasional pug-like snorts. His adopter should be comfortable keeping an eye on these minor quirks. Zeke enjoys a good balance of cuddling and independence, from birdwatching by the window to lounging beside his person. He’s litter box trained, neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are current. Zeke is especially well-suited to a home with another laid-back, polite cat to keep him company. He’ll warm up after a couple days and, once he does, his humor and sweetness come through. If you’re up for a genuinely one-of-a-kind companion who needs nothing more than an understanding heart, Zeke will fit right in. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
