About Ziggy
Ziggy is a small senior Pomeranian in Austin, TX, weighing around 8 pounds and bursting with personality. At about 10 years old, he still moves with a trademark high-stepping Pom prance and has plenty of pepâhe can jump on and off the couch with ease and occasionally dashes around the yard. Ziggy gets along just fine with other dogs but would be content as an only pet too. He doesnât get possessive over people and is happy to share attention. While his hearing and vision are only slightly diminished, it hasnât dampened his cheerful spirit. He walks well on leash, though he prefers to keep his distance from unfamiliar dogs passing by. At night, Ziggy will sleep in a crate if needed but would always rather share a bed with his people. House training is a work in progressâhe tends to mark indoors but is cooperative with a belly band, and this behavior has improved as heâs settled into his foster home. True to his breed, Ziggyâs laid-back, silly, and good-natured. Give him a welcoming place to land, and youâll have a devoted, amusing companion. Start your journey together! Apply now.
