About Buttercup

Meet Buttercup, a strikingly beautiful Tortoiseshell with a gentle spirit and a one-of-a-kind charm. Buttercup arrived under tough circumstances—a little wobbly and with some hind leg weakness likely from an old injury, but otherwise completely healthy. She narrowly escaped euthanasia before ending up safe in a loving foster home. Despite her balance issues, she manages well: she gets around, uses her litter box (just needs one with a low entry), and has a healthy appetite, even if she occasionally tips her food bowl. Buttercup is an affectionate lap cat, happiest when she's curled up next to you. She’s playful, especially fond of feather toys and bells, but her true talent is snuggling; she loves nothing more than a cuddle session. Because of her back legs and balance, she’ll do best in a one-story home without dogs. She may enjoy a mellow cat companion but could thrive as the only cat as well. If you’re patient and ready to provide a few small accommodations—like a simple, accessible setup—Buttercup will reward you with devotion. Born December 4, 2023, she’s a Sagittarius, often known for a bold spirit. All cats from Take Me Home Pet Rescue are indoor only. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
