🐾 Graves Graves is pure joy in a fluffy little body. He’s the kind of puppy who wakes up happy, greets the world with a wagging tail, and somehow makes every moment feel lighter. He’s playful, affectionate, and completely devoted to being wherever the fun (or the cuddles) are. But Graves’ story started in a much harder place. He and his brothers were found in a dumpster and brought to the shelter at just 5–6 weeks old—too young to be adopted and far too little to be navigating that environment. The shelter asked rescues for help, knowing how vulnerable they were. We assumed a puppy like Graves would be scooped up immediately. But as the days went on and he was still there, still waiting, it became clear that he might not be as “obvious” a save as we thought. And that’s when we knew—he was one of our Misfits. We named him after the legendary band The Misfits—a reminder that sometimes the ones who seem like they’ll have it easiest are the ones who need a second look. Born around March 9, 2026, Graves is an Akita mix expected to grow to about 60 pounds. He’s been raised in a foster home where he’s received lots of love, structure, and socialization. He does wonderfully with other animals and kids and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the day to help guide him as he grows.
