About Milo
Milo is a one-year-old beagle who’s still figuring out the world. He’s up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and has been relying on the steady example of his foster siblings to learn daily routines. House training is progressing, but he’s not quite finished with it yet. Milo doesn’t know how to walk on a leash and finds people pretty intimidating right now. He does, however, love toys—especially his giggle ball, which seems to bring out a less fearful side. He’s a clever dog, and that intelligence comes with a dose of mischief: Milo can be an escape artist and will need a securely fenced home and yard. Special requirements exist for Milo’s adoption: he must go to a home with at least one confident, social dog for guidance, adopters must commit to mandatory training with the rescue’s trainer, and ideal households will have kids aged 10 or older. No kenneling or crating, and his people should work from home or have a schedule with minimal absences. Milo is only available as a foster-to-adopt, and a minimum of three meets (with both dogs and people) is required. Adopters need to be in it for the long haul—progress will take time, empathy, and patience. Milo is a sensitive soul who needs slow and steady support to adapt. For those who get it, the reward is helping a nervous, intelligent dog grow into his best self. Every beagle in this group needs the right kind of adopter, not just anyone wanting a beagle by type. Milo is a Pisces, which may help explain his deeply sensitive nature. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
