Ranger is a young, all-black male Domestic Short Hair with a short, shiny coat. At just over 9 months old, he’s already neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Currently living in Tillamook, OR, he’s known for his social, playful nature with other cats and dogs, and he’s looking for a loving home that can match his gentle energy.

About Ranger

Ranger started life in a tough spot, abandoned with his sister Hazel and both in poor shape. Thanks to United Paws, he bounced back in his foster home through plenty of care and attention. These days, Ranger is thriving—playful, well-fed, and growing in confidence. He’s completely black except for a white diamond mark on his neck. Most days, he keeps behind Hazel’s bolder personality and needs a little time to warm up, especially around new people. Once comfortable though, his gentle, affectionate side shows up in spades. Ranger does best with other playful cats and his foster family calls him "a perfect kitten in every way." Ideally, he’d love to stay with his sister or live with another energetic kitty companion. He’s your classic kitten when it comes to play—obsessed with climbing, tunnels, foil balls, and anything he can chase. Ranger is timid with strangers, so a quieter home with patient adults or older kids suits him best. If given patience and time, he’ll reward you with trust and sweetness. Give him warmth, safety, and room to play, and Ranger will settle right in. Start your journey together! Apply now.
