He and his siblings were placed in a box at a rummage sale and being given away for free. Situations like that are scary—there’s no way to know where these puppies might end up or what their future might look like. So we stepped in to make sure Buck would get the safe, loving start he truly deserves. Right now, Buck is still figuring out the world. He is very shy and pretty shut down, and it’s clear he hasn’t had much guidance or socialization yet. New things can feel overwhelming for him, and he’s going to need a patient, understanding home that’s willing to go at his pace. Buck is essentially starting from scratch. He’ll need help with everything—confidence building, potty training, kennel training, learning manners, and just discovering what it means to be a loved family dog. While that may sound like a lot, it also means you get to be the one who shows him how good life can be. And there is something incredibly special about earning the trust of a dog like Buck. With time, consistency, and love, we know Buck has the potential to blossom into an amazing companion. He just needs someone willing to see past the fear and invest in his future.
