About Valentina
Valentina is a sweet, young Labrador Retriever mix searching for a new start and a loving family. At about a year old, she’s still full of that energetic spirit labs are known for, eager to get outside for sniffy walks and playful romps in the park. Valentina weighs in as a medium-sized pup and is already spayed and up to date on her vaccines. She gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy meeting canine friends. Cat and kid compatibility hasn’t been tested yet, but the rescue is happy to provide tips on safe introductions. Valentina is currently settling in at a rescue campus in South Carolina, but she’s all set for her forever home in the DC area. She previously tested positive for heartworm, but her treatment is fully covered and, once completed, she’ll go on to live a normal, active dog life—just with a little rest required in the short term. What Valentina wants most is a family where she feels safe and loved, a cozy dog bed, and a routine that includes time with her people. She's ready to offer loyal companionship, affectionate looks, and plenty of love for her new humans. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy or a dog who just wants to belong, Valentina could be the one trotting by your side. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
