** MCAS WELCOMES JUNE ** June was surrendered by the only family she had ever known, through no fault of her own. When she arrived, she had no training and was extremely fearful and shut down. She would not walk on leash and would often pancake or roll over instead of moving forward. She did not know basic commands and was very overwhelmed by the shelter environment. Since being with us, June has made amazing progress. She now walks well on leash, will sit for treats, kennels when asked, and truly enjoys people. She is still adjusting, but she is coming out of her shell more each day. Our goal is to see her move into a home where she can continue to thrive instead of growing up in the shelter. June previously lived in a home with children and other dogs. As always, we recommend a meet and greet if you have resident dogs to ensure a good fit.
