About Acorn
Meet Acorn. This house-trained, calm, and affectionate boy is searching for just the right home to settle into. Acorn is friendly and loving with people he’s gotten to know, and he’s shown he gets along nicely with other dogs and children. Out on walks, he keeps a cool head—even ignoring the excitement of deer on the trail. Highly intelligent and eager to please, Acorn responds to commands like “sit” and “drop,” and he’s putting in the work on “stay.” He’s especially fond of belly rubs and just being near his people. Acorn was recently returned from adoption after becoming protective of his home when a stranger entered unexpectedly. Like many dogs, he needs patience and structure as he builds trust in a new place and settles into a routine. Outside of his home, he’s done well with people and other animals, and his foster describes him as a truly great dog. He’ll thrive with someone who understands the value of consistency and can provide guidance as he adjusts. Once Acorn feels secure, he transforms into an incredibly loyal companion who bonds deeply with his family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
