About Beau
Beau is a 1.5-year-old Foxhound mix who has lived a real adventure, coming all the way from rural Virginia with nothing but wandering spirit and charm. He’s currently finishing up his southern stay before a trip north, and there’s no extra transport cost. He’s a shy guy at first, but it only adds to his appeal—his warm, almond eyes win over just about everyone. Beau lights up around toys and loves the company of other dogs. He’s not had much time with kids or cats, but there’s no reason to think he won’t win them over, too. He’s got a classy streak (ask his foster about the crossed paws pose) and does well in his crate. Beau is presumed house-trained—after a few initial slip-ups, he settled into a reliable routine. On leash, he’s quirky: he prefers sidestepping to pulling forward, which only adds to his endearing personality. Beau’s had Lyme disease, treatable with antibiotics—just needs a vet to set him up. He’s fully vaccinated and neutered, so he’s ready for his new life. All he needs is patience as he settles in and the continued socialization and training every rescue dog deserves. Playful, soft-natured and a bit goofy, Beau is eager to start his new chapter in New England. Click apply to start the adoption process.
