Meet Marjorie (Margie for short)!, Margie was rescued from the streets of the Bronx in April. She was underwheight and fighting an upper respiratory infection and the rescuer just couldn't leave that sweet face behind! Margie took well to her sweet new abode, and all her new cozy comforts and has turned out to be a lovely little kitty! Margie is friendly and loves to be pet, but she's still getting used to trusting people so sometimes she still backs away from pets out of habit, only to immediately come back for more once she remembers how good head scritches feel! She is playful (she loves her jingly ball) and seems to be okay with other cats. We require adopters to fill out an application, have basic references checked, allow a home visit and video tour (to ensure conditions are safe and reasonable), and pay an adoption fee. We allow all adopters an up-to-2-week-long tryout period to determine if the cat(s) is a good match for them. If not, we will retrieve the cat(s) and return the adoption fee in full.
