About Pixie
Pixie landed in the shelter on April 27th after being surrendered with her four siblings from a crowded home. Just nine days later, she quietly became a mother to eight pups. When she arrived, Pixie was withdrawn, keeping her distance and watching the world go by. Over the weeks, she revealed her gentle side—she’s still timid with people she doesn’t know, but when you sit down and offer her treats (especially a peanut butter kong), she’ll begin to warm up. Staff say once Pixie trusts you, she’s unwaveringly loyal: she searches for you, stays close, and waits for affection—always gentle when taking a cookie from your hand. Pixie still needs some work with the leash and basic obedience, but she already knows ‘sit’ and is house trained. She jumps up with excitement around her favorite people, so she’ll benefit from further training and patience as she gains confidence. Pixie is good with other dogs, cats, and children, but she’ll do best with someone who doesn’t mind taking things at her pace. Being born on April 27th, she’s a Taurus: steady, loyal, and quietly stubborn. Her next chapter is waiting to be written. Click apply to start the adoption process.
