This pup will be available to meet starting on 5/9 With his sweet smile and big teddy bear energy, he's the kind of dog who just wants to hang out and be part of the family. Poncho has a medium to low energy level and is mostly content just relaxing and taking it easy. He'll occasionally join in for a little playtime with another dog, but overall he's more of a “let's chill and watch the game” kind of guy. He walks well on leash and has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him a great companion. So far, he hasn't shown much interest in treats or toys, but he's all about good company and a comfortable place to relax. Poncho would love a home with a yard where he can stretch out, enjoy the fresh air, and maybe have a dog friend or two to hang out with. He arrived as an unclaimed stray, but he's ready to leave that behind and find a loving home where he can finally settle in for good. They were rescued from a kill shelter in New Mexico. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
