About Caramel
Caramel is a young Black Mouth Cur and German Shepherd mix with grit and a lovable streak. After surviving harsh conditions following a house fire in Ferris, TX, she hasn’t lost her spark—instead, she beams with trust and playfulness. She weighs about 40 pounds and craves both vigorous play and plenty of affection. Caramel gets along well with people and other dogs; her high energy and need for exercise make her a great fit for an active household. She is crate trained, making progress on her leash skills, and learning basic commands. Caramel still gets a bit mouthy when she plays, so she’ll do best in a home without small kids while she gets a better handle on her manners. What she needs most is structure and patience, along with lots of opportunity to explore and socialize. Whether she’s your sole dog or joins another, she’s adaptable and clearly eager to thrive in the right environment. After everything she’s endured, Caramel is ready for a life filled with safety, affection, and plenty of happy adventures. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
