Hi, I'm Cash and just like Johnny, I keep a close watch on this heart of mine! I'm a handsome one-year-old Hound blend, a shy boy who is still learning to trust people. But when I do (and I don't rush it), I'm affectionate in my own quiet way. I tend to be anxious when left alone so I'm hoping to find a home where experienced and patient dog lovers are there more often than not. My 35-pound frame is perfect for walks and adventures and I'm in great shape, agile and athletic. Favorite Things: Cash is a lover of cheese and peanut butter and well, food in general! He also enjoys leash walks and exploring the yard. He can take or leave toys, much preferring to hang out with his people. He's a bit of an introvert but loves having his trusted people nearby. Training & Manners: Cash is house-trained when let out regularly. He walks well on a leash, but continued training and practice will help him shine in his new neighborhood and beyond! His new family will also need to continue his training on basic commands and house manners but he's a smart boy and food motivated. He loves car rides and sleeps soundly in a secure space at night. Health & Care: Cash is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. He'll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. A simple routine of regular baths and nail trims will help this handsome guy continue to look and feel his best. Other Animals: Cash has experience with calm, laid back dogs. He does not have experience with cats and his foster mom thinks he would likely not do well with them. Children: This sweet but timid boy needs to be in a home with teens/adults only. Ideal Home: Cash will do best in a single-family home because he can be quite vocal when left alone and a fenced-in yard where he can explore safely would be great. A home where someone is home more often than not is ideal for this sweet boy but he can be left alone in the home for a few hours in a secure space. Overall: If you're looking for a loving companion who could share your love of hiking, walking, and other adventures and are willing to give him time to adjust to life in a safe environment, Cash might be the one for you. If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $350.
