Ryder is an adorable Schnauzer/Terrier-type mix with a scruffy golden coat, soulful brown eyes, and absolutely magnificent ears. He is playful, confident, intelligent, and incredibly affectionate. Ryder loves toys, food puzzles, exploring the yard, and carrying around his prized treasures while inviting others to chase him. Once his puppy energy is spent, he happily settles into a lap for calm snuggles and belly rubs. He is doing well with potty training for his age—he goes outside when taken regularly and will use a potty pad indoors if available, though he is still learning how to signal when he needs to go out. Ryder is working on sit, shake, and impulse control and is very food motivated and eager to learn. He has done well with men, women, and kids (especially older children), and he enjoys playing with other dogs while also being independent enough to entertain himself. Because he does alert bark, he is not a good fit for apartment living.
